Regional Centre History
Year of Establishment – Regional Centre Deoghar was established on 26th May 2011 after bifurcation of
Ranchi Regional Centre for better administration, monitoring of Student Support Centres and catering to
the local population.
Coverage area –It is carved out with Seven (7 ) out of twenty six (26) districts of Jharkhand State
Status –It is the second Regional Centre in the State after Ranchi
Jurisdiction – Six districts of Santhal Pargana Division (Deoghar, Dumka, Sahebganj, Godda, Pakur,,
Jamtara) and one district of North Chotanagpur Division (Giridih)
